 The Magruder Corporation  built the first Derwood Station with 47(?) single family homes in the early 1980’s (?), followed soon after in the mid-1980’s with Derwood Station 2 and Hollybrook (Derwood Station South). Each community was established as a separate Homeowners Association.

Derwood Staion HOA No. 2 (DSHOA2) boasts 222 single family homes and 13 Common Areas, including seven large Common Areas.

DSHOA2 is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of seven Directors, with two-year staggered terms such that the terms of roughly half expire each year and replacements can be elected/re-elected each year.

The Board is responsible for the management of the Common Areas and regularly communicates with the membership to collect annual homeowner assessments. The Directors are all volunteer homeowners who work with a managing agent (The Management Group Associates, Inc.) to manage maintenance contracts.

The Board also works with residents to resolve questions, coordinate volunteer and social activities, and promote community safety and increasing property values.Magruder
